JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Manager IS Applications II will be accountable for ensuring the success of an application portfolio that involves a group of related projects, applications, and IS delivery oversight. This role will also be accountable for building and maintaining exceptional relationships with service line leaders, vendors, and other departments to help collectively further BSWH’s strategic initiatives.

\n

You will assist respective IS Directors and/or leadership with knowledge of the external IS Application environment and managing the BSWH portfolio, thus leading technical and process standards and helping department budget planning and management. The role requires a person who must be action- and results-oriented, a \"take-charge\" leader with strong communications (written and spoken), leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nAccountable for the day-to-day operational activities of IT that include Portfolio Management, stakeholder and customer relationships and IS delivery oversight of the managed services vendor.\nManages pillar portfolio management (program and project management as dictated by business needs)\nDrives long term planning and strategic pillar vision creation for pillar improvements and strategies, with oversight from VP as needed.\nEstablishes an application portfolio budget and tracks it to ensure the budget is on track and aligned with strategic goals.\nKnowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolio\nOwns assorted departmental responsibilities as assigned (ie contract management, staffing/resourcing, demand management, budgeting, etc)\nPartners with and runs teams towards the identification of problems/opportunities from a Digital Innovation perspective.\nOversee or perform the development and documentation of business requirements, goals, deliverables, and specifications in partnership with customers, employees, and help staff.\nClosely maintains a pulse on digital disruption / innovation in healthcare.\nProvides recommendations for improvements that meet customer goals.\nPresents and explains findings to leadership team and team members.\nConducts all human resources related activities, inclusive of interviews, supervision, performance evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, reward and recognition, scheduling, leaves, policy, and procedure administration, etc.\n\n

\n\nMore advanced leadership, problem solving, team building, and judgment-making skills.\nSkilled project manager with ability to articulate business needs.\nExcellent written, verbal, and social communication skills.\nProficient computer software and database skills.\nAbility to focus and prioritize strategic targets and work in a growing and challenging environment.\nDrives long term planning and strategic portfolio vision creation for improvements and strategies, with oversight from Director and VP as needed.\nKnowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolio\nEstablishes external relationships with other thought leaders in healthcare IT.\nMaintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and systems.\n\n
