Required Skills The following tasks are performed by Mechanics: + Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Including, but not limited to: + Liebherr Crawler Cranes + Linkbelt Telescoping Crawler Cranes + Rubber Tire Straddle Cranes + Skid Steer Loaders + Telehandlers + Mobile Elevated Work Platforms + Generators + Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using diagnostic equipment and calibration devices + Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment + Examine parts for damage or excessive wear + Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment + Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects + Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency + Performs other related duties as required The following knowledge is required to skillfully perform the job of a Mechanic: + Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction + Knowledge of machines and tools; their uses, repair, and maintenance + Knowledge of OSHA regulations + Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures to comply with company, local, state, and/or federal laws The following skills are required to perform the job of a Mechanic: + Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools + Ability to proficiently MIG, ARC or Flux Core weld + Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job + Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed + Diagnosing/repairing equipment - emphasis in electrical and hydraulic systems + Considering the relative costs and benefits of equipment repair/replacement options and assist in choosing the most appropriate solution The following physical demands are required to perform the job of a Mechanic: + The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists + The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing + Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, kneeling + Occasional climbing of ladders + Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds from ground to waist level + Occasional lifting between 50 to 100 pounds + Occasional repetitive use of non-powered hand tools + Occasional repetitive use of vibrating hand tools + Frequent work in dusty environment + Frequent work in areas of excessive noise + Work variable hours including overtime hours as needed EEO Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
