Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative New Product Development Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical to the design and development of cutting-edge natural gas and hydrogen fueling machinery that meets evolving market demands.

 This is a Hybrid Role - Local to Janesville, WI. Onsite 3+ days/week

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)

\n\nDesign and Development: Create and refine mechanical designs for new natural gas and hydrogen fueling systems, ensuring they meet market requirements and are in line with industry standards.\nProblem-Solving: Tackle complex engineering challenges, often dealing with ambiguity, to develop effective solutions for fueling machinery systems.\nPrototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate designs and make necessary adjustments based on findings.\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, assemblers, product managers, and sales, to ensure alignment of product development with company goals.\nResearch & Analysis: Conduct thorough research and stay up to date with the latest industry trends to inform design decisions.\nDocumentation: Maintain detailed documentation throughout the product development process to ensure clear communication and adherence to project timelines and specifications.\nContinuous Improvement: Evaluate the performance of existing products and suggest improvements or innovations for future designs.\n

Who You Are (Qualifications)

Required Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 2-4 years of experience in and engineering role.\nProven experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in the natural gas and hydrogen fuel systems industry.\nStrong proficiency with Creo and AutoCAD software.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong communication skills for sharing findings and collaborating with the engineering team.\n\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n\nAdvanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\nExperience with the design and development of fueling machinery or similar industrial equipment.\nKnowledge of natural gas and hydrogen regulations and standards.\n\n
