Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Keystone Laboratory, Inc. - Asheville, NC An exciting and challenging opportunity awaits a highly qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, Asheville, NC. Job Summary: This position performs moderate and high complexity lab analyses and/or identification procedures on blood, body fluids, and other specimens to obtain data which may be used by medical providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10:00AM – 6:30PM Key Responsibilities: + Must follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient results. + Must communicate with clinical staff regarding patient samples, results, and any problems arising with testing or reporting of samples. + Assist management in monitoring quality control data to ensure results or procedures are accurate and precise. + Review SOPs and assist with updating SOPs as needed. + Perform PT tests, and routine instrument maintenance. + Work well under pressure and time constraints with minimal supervision. + Must be proficient with word document and excel. Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Required License: Medical Technologist Experience: One year in clinical laboratory (Preferred).
