Job Description

We are seeking a Microwave Engineer for a direct hire/permanent role in Germantown, MD.  This role will work onsite/in the office Monday- Friday during normal business hours (there are no remote options).  

In this role, you will:

 

Apply knowledge of electrical engineering, Analog circuit design, Radio frequency (RF) circuit design, Microwave signal theory, to lead aspects of the development and qualification of Circuits such as Phase Locked Oscillators, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, Mixer, Filters, up and down converters.Research and select the components for RF & microwave products under development and plan and execute the electrical engineering schematic capture necessary for the product development process.Plan and execute design verification testing, product failure analysis, and prepare all test documentation.Execute electrical engineering tasks to support the company’s efforts to analyze and resolve product and process problems.Define and select new concepts and approaches; modify available materials, electrical components and process specifications to meet new product requirements

QualificationsMaster’s degree in an Electrical Engineering field with major in microwave engineering and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a related Electrical Engineering or RF / microwave Design Engineer position. As an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a related Electrical Engineering or RF / microwave Design Engineer position will be acceptable.8+ years of experience in a hardware lab setting conducting laboratory tests using RF equipment: Spectrum analyzers, power meters, vector analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, sources, mixers, filters, amplifiers, receivers, and circuit optimization (comfortable with passive rework using solder iron).8+ years of experience using programming skills in labview, python, or similar language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing electrical engineering design to support RF and Microwave circuit design.Experience using Simulation tools ADS / Spice / HFSSGood prototyping and debugging skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of digital communication theoryGood interpersonal skills to work across different Engineering groups such as mechanical, QA, materials Engineers to take design to mass production.
