Are you a skilled Millwright with a knack for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues? Do you value safety as a top priority? If so, we have an exciting opportunity that might just be your calling. We're seeking a Millwright for our Hermanville, MS Sawmill, where you can utilize your communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep our sawmill operating at peak performance. This role is a full-time night shift schedule, Monday to Friday. Minimum of 40 hours per week with a rate starting at $25/hour + bonuses. Pay is negotiable based on experience and could be higher. 

 

As a Millwright, your responsibilities will include: 

Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and pneumatic systems involved in the manufacturing process. 

Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, which involves inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. You should be comfortable working under pressure. 

Effective time management, assessing carefully when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery. 

Applying your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, enhance equipment reliability, and implement safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running. 

Having great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts for timely repairs. 

Accountability for assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors. 

 

For this role, we are looking for candidates who: 

3-5 years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic 

Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 

Demonstrate a high degree of urgency. 

Have knowledge of gearboxes, alignments, bearings, drives, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems

Have knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset). 

Possess experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability (an asset).
