POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of the paint shop team, this position will be responsible for a variety of painting functions including spraying, mixing, polishing, and operating painting equipment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for painting, decanting, verification, stocking, and finish painting.Review and interpret blueprints to identify proper paint colors and areas of application. Complete minor fibreglass repairs. Mix Axalta paint using activator and primer. Spray paint on large areas using a 1-quart gravity feed spray gun and/or a 2-quart siphon feed spray gun. Maintain spray guns and painting equipment through proper cleaning procedures. Utilize painting techniques to achieve desired results. Adhere to safety procedures as they apply to all equipment used in this position.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Previous automotive painting experience is required.Proven experience reading and interpreting blueprints to identify proper paint areas and colors. Exceptional knowledge of all preparatory work, paint and priming sequences and procedures. Have great interpersonal and communication skills. High attention to detail, precision, and accuracy.
