PART-TIME LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

POSITION SUMMARY: The Therapist is a member of the site team implementing the Rite of Passage program. The Therapist is responsible for administrating, developing and facilitating the completion of case plans and prescriptive treatment programs in accordance with the requests of the placing agency and the needs of each student on their case load. Therapeutic Managers are the primary service providers for individual, group, family and case management services. This position reports to the Clinical Director and assists with the supervision of the group living staff.    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Adheres to the facility and daily schedules. Develops and oversees the completion of Treatment Plans according to the presenting issues and needs of the students on the assigned case load. Primary program liaison between student, parents/legal guardian, Client Manager and placing agency officials. Provides accurate monthly progress notes and weekly student updates to the client manager, lawyers, family members and/or placing agency officials. Provides individual therapy, family, and group therapy to each student assigned to the caseload. Completes suicide assessments and documents ongoing evaluation of students on Suicide Precaution Monitoring. Completes progress reports, disciplinary hearings, incident reports, critical incident reports and all other documentation in a timely manner to be reviewed by the Clinical Director. Advises of any problematic situations. Inputs information regarding visits, individual treatment, telephone calls, treatment group notes, etc. into the student database and in accordance with the position security level and operating procedures. Assists in gathering information and data for internal and external performance audits. Supports Group Living Counselors and assigns duties to the Group Living Counselors and overnight staff that will support each student’s progress and/or ensure the safety and security of the site. Assists with training sessions for program staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess an active Arkansas licensure as an LAC, LPC, LPE, LPE-I, LMSW or LCSW. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees, if required. Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
