Great work you’ll do here:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing physical therapy treatment under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the plan of care.

Performs all physical therapy procedures, planned and delegated, as prescribed by the physician in the client’s place of residence when instructed and supervised by a qualified Physical TherapistAdministers non-complex therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities to clients with relatively stable conditionsInstructs, motivates and assists clients in learning and improving functional activitiesObserves client’s progress and response to treatment and reports findings to the physical therapistPrepares clinical notes and progress reports documenting physical therapy treatments performed and submits them for review to the supervising Physical Therapist for inclusion into the clinical recordReports any changes in the client’s condition to the qualified supervising Physical Therapist and Agency ManagementChanges in the plan of care may be made following authorization by the client’s physician and subsequent authorization, instruction and supervision by the Physical TherapistParticipates in case conferences, staff meetings, and in-service programs as requiredSubmits all documentation (clinical and payroll) timely and per branch policyAssists with quarterly record reviews if requestedContributes to the effectiveness of case management and coordination of services through open communicationFollows directives of Case Manager and supports the efforts of case coordinationAssures appropriate documentation for all client care providedIs punctual for client visits and reports to work as scheduledMaintains appropriate boundaries with client and families; avoids significant self-disclosure; interacts with clients and families on a professional levelCompletes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company
