We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Home Health department. This position is  Part-Time Core, scheduled 24 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package -or- a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits. Adventist Health Colmbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon.  Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries, and, most importantly, warm, friendly people.

Responsibilities

Provides direct physical therapy service and instruction to homebound patients and family in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment and subsequent orders.

 

Qualifications Education:Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution required. Masters Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution preferred.Licensure/Certification:Licensed in Physical Therapy by the State of Oregon and Washington State.Current Healthcare provider CPR.Must have valid driver’s license.Experience:One year clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Must have an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy, theory and practice and the legal and ethical issues associated with them.Should be neat in work and appearance; be tactful, courteous, and ethical.Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with some supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Knowledge of Medicare regulations/requirements. Working knowledge of palliative care for the terminally ill patient.Knowledgeable of the care for the chronically ill and frail elderly.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to work autonomously and manage the caseload.Must have valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. Must have capability to assess and use high speed internet.Operational knowledge of computerized clinical documentation including the use of laptop/notebook computers.Annually prepares realistic professional goals and reviews their progress with Supervisor.   Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
