Position Information:
Serving the community since 1961, WakeMed Health & Hospitals is the leading provider of health services in Wake County. With a mission to improve the health and well-being of our community, we are committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care. WakeMed has three acute care hospitals and a physical rehabilitation hospital for a total of 970-beds. We also have three healthplexes with stand-alone, 24/7 emergency departments and a variety of outpatient services throughout the region. Our physician practices are home to more than 350 physicians representing nearly every specialty.

We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and fellowship training in Surgical Oncology to join us. Our team currently consists of 20 surgeons, residents and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Our surgeons provide trauma/emergency general surgery, colorectal, breast, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. We are looking for two Surgical Oncologists to join our growing team. These positions will focus on general surgical oncology, including but not limited to gastric, hepato-pancreato-biliary, neuroendocrine, as well as soft tissue tumors. There is opportunity to teach resident and develop initiatives to expand quality oncologic care in the triangle region.
