Position Overview:

The Asphalt Plant Laborer/Mechanic will be responsible for a variety of tasks at the asphalt plant. The Asphalt Plant Laborer/mechanic is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions: Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects Operate tools and equipment as needed (hand tools, skid steers, man lift, etc.) Keep plant site clean (shovel piles, empty trash, etc.) Offload asphalt trucks Maintenance and/or repair of equipment as needed (i.e. grease bearings, fuel equipment, minor fabricating, replacing parts, aligning belts, etc.) Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours) Position Requirements: Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal Physical Requirements:
