We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and skilled Automation and Machine Learning Policy Expert who will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies and guidelines related to the use of automation technologies within our agency. This role is essential in ensuring that our agency leverages automation tools while maintaining compliance with federal regulations and safeguarding sensitive information. This is your chance to work with a distinguished federal law enforcement agency committed to maintaining the highest standards of security and integrity. The role will serve on the Security Policy Council and provide leadership in shaping and implementing information security policies. As an Automation and Machine Learning expert, you will be responsible for contributing to the agency's Information Security Policy Council, overseeing the development and enforcement of policies and procedures ensuring alignment with federal regulations and best practices for safe and effective usage of technologies to support the mission. 

Contributions

We are looking for seasoned Automation and Machine Learning Policy Expert to join our team and help shape our policies and procedures in the ever-evolving landscape of automation and technology. You will work with senior leaders and clients to develop enterprise polices governing the development and usage of automation and machine learning technologies.

 

Experience collaborating with agency leadership and stakeholders to create comprehensive automation policies and guidelines that align with federal regulations, security standards, and best practices.Experience monitoring and ensure agency-wide compliance with automation policies, regulations, and standards.Evaluate third-party automation technology vendors for compliance with security standards and make recommendations for procurement.Develop and implement incident response plans for automation-related security breaches and provide expert guidance during security incidents.Data Architecture contributions include assessing and understanding data sources, data models and schemas, and data workflowsData Engineering contributions include assessing, understanding, ETL jobs, data pipelines, and workflowsBI and Data Visualization contributions include assessing, understanding, and designing reports, selecting BI tools, creating dynamic dashboards, and setting up data pipelines in support of dashboards and reportsData Science contributions include assessing, understanding, machine learning and AI applications, designing MLOps pipelines, and supporting data scientistsAddressing technical inquiries concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of machine learning productsKey must have skill sets – broad understanding of automation technology, lifecycle and capabilities Qualifications

Required

U.S CitizenBachelor’s Degree in an IT field and Fourteen (14) years of cybersecurity experienceBachelor’s Degree in a non IT field and Sixteen (16) years of cybersecurity experienceNo degree and Eighteen (18) years of cybersecurity experienceMaster’s Degree in an IT field and Eleven (11) years of cybersecurity experienceMust possess an information technology certification related to subject matter expertiseProven experience as an Senior Engineer, preferably in a federal or government environment.Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all systemsKnowledge and experience with the information security and assurance principles (e.g., Defense-in-depth) and associated supporting technologiesAbility to assess and weigh current and evolving security threats in an operational environment

Preferred Skills

In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and standards.Strong understanding of security infrastructure, risk management, and compliance.Proficiency in security tools, technologies, and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsU.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.Current experience providing subject matter leadership support for federal governmentExperience supporting systems and applications in Agile and DevOps environments.
