Recruitment/Posting Title Postdoctoral Fellow Job Category Academic - Medical (Research) Department RWJ-Psychiatry-IMHS-ZM1604 Overview Posting Summary The Rutgers University Addiction Research Center’s (ARC’s) focus is studying genetic and environmental influences on the development of substance use and related behavioral conditions.  Responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Fellow include designing, organizing, executing and communicating, through scientific journal articles and conference presentations, the results of research studies that further the aims of the ARC and the grant(s) that fund the postdoctoral position. We examine issues such as how genetic and environmental influences change across development; trajectories of risk associated with identified genes; environmental factors that alter risk pathways; genetic influences on subtypes and intermediary phenotypes associated with substance use problems; and the mediating and moderating mechanisms involved in gene-behavior associations.  Other responsibilities include providing guidance to undergraduate and graduate students and translating research findings to community members such that it can be used in policy.  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement FLSA Exempt Grade 99S Position Salary 4 Annual Minimum Salary 0.000 Annual Mid Range Salary 0.000 Annual Maximum Salary 0.000 Standard Hours 37.50 Union Description Non-Union Payroll Designation PeopleSoft Benefits Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees.
