The Lead provides direction and support to the shift team. Drives compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as Safety, Quality, GMP, and CPS. May be assigned to one or more of following functions: Production, Maintenance, Warehouse and Quality

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behaviorMonitors environment and becomes aware of conditions that may affect employee safety and security; takes corrective actionCommunicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policiesPrepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employeesPrepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employeesProvides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behaviorEnsures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their dutiesOperates injection mold machines and other related equipmentAnalyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other data to drive production requirementsPerforms and/or assigns personnel to conduct audits, weights and quality checksTroubleshoots and resolves process problems and makes minor repairs to blow-mold and support equipmentPrepares and documents daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and otherMaintenance:Loads and unloads trucks and secures product in accordance with customer requirements; inspects incoming materials.Performs mold, neck tooling, pin and other equipment changesInstalls, adjusts, and repairs blow mold machines, trimmers, palletizers and other related equipmentTroubleshoots, locates root problems, and repairs blow mold, baggers and support equipment or PLC programming issuesWarehouse:Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipmentDevelops and implements quality related training programs for all employeesApplies statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goodsPerforms in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loadingCommunicates quality issues and out of specifications conditions to plant leadersCompletes laboratory testing and collects samples at established intervalsGroup Lead will have responsibility for two or more departments (i.e. Production, Warehouse, etc.). Lead will  have       responsibility for one mid-to-large department or a limited number of shift employees.Other duties and roles maybe assigned by plant management

Conditions of Employment

Must be able to comply with the following conditions of employment:

Climate Ranging from 40 – 110 degrees FNo Jewelry, including facial piercings, wedding rings, watches, etcNo cellphones on production floor, personal items will be kept in provided lockers onsiteNo pocket knives or firearms on company groundsMust wear the specified PPE at all times: bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesPosition may require working in different buildings at any given timeAbide by all Safety, GMP, and quality regulations

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to:
