Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police, veterans, active military, teachers, mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers. In FY2016, UBHC treated 16,199 consumers, had 24,502 admissions, and touched the lives of 19,441 individual callers through peer support. In addition, UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for Middlesex Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (CMRSS) at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator is to function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team for the Middlesex Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (CMRSS) program and Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU). Responsible for providing supervision to Senior Habilitation and Habilitation Counselors and monitoring the day-to-day coordination and delivery of direct service program operations. Will assist the Program Manager in ensuring compliance with all regulatory, fiscal and documentation requirements. Demonstrates competency in supervising direct service staff in crisis intervention strategies and care coordination/case management and assessing the unique needs of children (0-12 years), adolescents (13-17 years) and young adults (18-21 years).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction and clinical updates. Provides staff with direction regarding child/family intervention through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences. Provides clinical/administration coverage of the unit’s daily operations. Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that respects and enhances the individual, their expressed choices and preferences, and that enhances the positive self image of children/families/clients and staff.
