PROGRAM MANAGER (ARTC):

 

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager to lead our team in support of the Alaska Range Combat Training Integrated Communications and Support (ARCTICS) contract.  The Program Manager will provide leadership to task leads and support personnel in managing all operational aspects, including program execution, customer relations, and risk management. The Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple teams that provide operations and sustainment services to the 354th Range Squadron at Eielson Air Force Base, AK.   

 

Must be customer-focused and highly motivated to ensure the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) is mission-ready to meet a wide range of operational demands.   This position is located 100% on-site at Eielson AFB.

Responsibilities Supervise and lead a multi-location workforce.Ensure team meets or exceeds performance thresholds and operational effectiveness rates required by the customer.Manage the workforce quality and overseeing quality delivery by holding task leads accountable for performance, milestones, and deliverables.Correct potential or existing quality problems.Validate technical and financial reports, analyze metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop corrective action solutions that meet operational goals.Oversee and maintain the workforce’s training requirements and certifications.Establish regular communication patterns with the customer to include routine meetings, visits, calls, email summaries, updated project plans, and/or project reviews.Meet 30-minute response time to customer queries during duty hours.Communicate status updates to corporate leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar fields.At least 5 - 7 years’ experience as a project or program manager with responsibility for operations and sustainment of a Department of Defense air combat training range. Preferred Current PMP or DAWIA Program Management Level 3 certification.Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Share Point.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

Highly desirable:

Master’s degree in a related field.3 - 5 years’ experience as a program manager or task lead with responsibility for operations and sustainment of the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC)Have recent (within last 5 years) experience with tactical aircraft operations or air combat exercise and experiment support and execution.Retired USAF officer or SNCO with OPS or MX background

 Physical Demands: 

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED:  Have an active security clearance at the Top Secret level and be able to maintain it.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance.
