Who We WantThe Quality Engineer will develop and execute exploratory tests to ensure product quality. Responsibilities for this role include designing and implementing manual tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, reviewing system requirements, and tracking quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for conducting manual tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets the company needs while being cost-effective. Ultimately, this role will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.What You’ll DoReview requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackIndependently analyze, solve, and correct some issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases (TestRail)Estimate, prioritize, plan testing activitiesHave a basic understanding of the automation scripts used by QA Automation for your teamPrioritize and customize test cases to facilitate addition to automation suitesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs (Jira)Exhibit ownership of your team’s bugsIdentify high-risk changes before they are integrated into the main versionWork with a team to ensure stability and basic functionalityPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing productsLiaise with internal & external teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsDeliver feedback and reports to the  team and actively participate in Scrum activitiesQualificationsBasic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CDKnowledge of software QA methodologies and processesProven work experience in software quality assuranceExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesSome experience with both white box and black box testingSome experience with automated testing strategiesBasic knowledge of SQL and scriptingSome knowledge of API testing and toolsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentSome knowledge with non-functional testing (performance/stress testing/load)1+ years of work experience in software QA or 2+ years of experience in IT related field The Perks of Working With Us Take advantage of our benefits including monthly grocery vouchers, vacation days, savings fund, medical insurance (including dental and vision plans) and more.Leave the suit and tie at home; our dress code is casual.Enjoy office wide engagement activities, team events, happy hours and more!Work in our new Guadalajara office located in Torre 1500 (Av.
