We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology department. This position is a full-time, scheduled 40 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. ResponsibilitiesRadiation Therapist is responsible for the accurate, responsible delivery of radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The staff therapist will conduct his/her activities in such a way as to ensure the provision of safe, efficient, cost effective and quality services.
The individual in this position will act as a resource to others to assist in understanding the use of therapeutic radiation and its effects. This person will follow direction and conform to the philosophy of the hospital and department.
Qualifications Education:Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program required.Licensure/Certification:Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.Registered Radiological Technologist A.R.R.T. (T) required. Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) State licensure required.BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.Experience:Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and direction to the age of the patient/client served in this department.
