Regional/Interagency Support SME EUCOM
*This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award. Regional/Interagency Support SME Job Description   Support the mission of developing and integrating timely and accurate global awareness and responsive support to the SOF Network in day-to-day operations and crisis response while supporting the HQ’s strategic battle rhythm, ensuring worldwide SOF are ready, postured, and empowered to support the nation’s strategic and operational objectives. Tasks include\: Liaison and coordinate with TSOC and Components during Trans Regional Synchronization events in accordance with the SOCOM Battle Rhythm. Provide advice on current operations in each of the Combatant Command’s (GCC) areas of operations (CENTCOM, SOUTHCOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, and NORTHCOM). Assist in maintaining the USSOCOM collaborative information enterprise. Liaison and coordinate among all participants during Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and the execution of a Crisis Action Team (CAT). Provide advice and recommendations on current operations to each specific geographical areas of interest to the Global Mission Support Center (GMSC) and the Global Support Groups (GSG). Facilitation of and/or effective integration into functional working groups from other agencies/departments, and the Joint Staff. Integration of command operational planning requirements by ensuring Joint Staff management practices and procedures are fulfilled. Assist in development and maintenance of professional network that improves coordination between USSOCOM, the GCC’s, TSOC’s, Components, and the Interagency. Assistance in hosting/chairing meetings, visitations or conferences pertaining to the current fight related to CONPLANS, OPLANS, CAMPAIGN PLANS emerging Counterterrorism Opportunities, and other USSOCOM planning initiatives. *This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position could require some night and weekend work. Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS non-hazardous locations based on client requirements.
Physical RequirementsSitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
Equipment and MachinesGeneral office equipment, which includes\: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
AttendanceWork assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
Other Essential FunctionsCandidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
