Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics._ **Responsibilities** Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Bariatric Registered Dietitian to work with our bariatric team of surgeons, nurses, and mental health professionals. **Responsibilities:** + Assesses nutritional and health status of bariatric surgery patients, pre- and post-surgery. + Develops customized nutrition care plans that support weight loss goals and optimal health. + Collaborates with bariatric program team including surgeons, nurses, and mental health professionals to ensure coordination throughout the continuum of care. + Develops patient education materials and classes. Provides education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. + Provides individual and group nutrition counseling to bariatric surgery patients. + Faciliatates support groups. + Monitors effectiveness of nutritional regimen, provides medical nutrition therapy, and evaluates effectiveness of treatments. + Participates in marketing and community education activities to promote the Bariatric Program. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Dietetic Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. + Educator specializing in Diabetes Management credentialed from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) preferred.
