Job Summary
+ The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
+ The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
+ The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
+ All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
+ Staff is required to maintain a level of physical/mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.
+ Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics and St. Mary’s Healthcare Center’s Mission and Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience
+ Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.
+ Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.
+ ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.
+ Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.R.
+ PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.
+ Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
+ Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.
+ Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
+ Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure.
Work Schedule
+ Monday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
+ Rotate between day and night shifts
+ Every other weekend
+ Every other holiday
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
+ $31.00 - $46.50 per hour
