Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Addiction Treatment Services PRN

The Inova Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) Day Treatment is seeking a PRN RN at the Leesburg location for Intense Outpatient Treatment (IOP).
 

Inova Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services Program (CATS Program) is a regional leader, providing the highest quality of addiction treatment services for adults. We offer a series of structured programs that provide effective, compassionate treatment for individuals dealing with all forms of chemical dependency. These include addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs, heroin, cocaine and other drugs. The CATS Day Treatment program can see up to 10 patients per day. 
 

The Registered Nurse in CATS Day Treatment:

•    Admits patients 
•    Completes assessments on day treatment patients
•    Serves as a liaison between the Physician and patients for medical questions and concerns 
•    Works as part of an inter-professional team
•    Responsible for contacting insurance company to obtain prior authorization for level of care, continuing authorization and discharge notification

As a Registered Nurse – Pro re nata (PRN), you will provide knowledgeable/caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Your ability to provide direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor is of vital importance. Serving as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment as well as successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality through relationships and access based knowledge is required. Ensuring that the process for delivery of care is synthesized from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.

Requirements:

- Experience  Required: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.

-Certification: BLS certification required.
- Licensure - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Special Skills - Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
