Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Long-Term Acute Care Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct or indirect patient care to medically complex patients.Responsibilities:Provides planningand delivery of direct andindirect patient careResponsible for providingcare to medically complex patientsSupervises care, treatment, and servicesof the patient(s)Documents the patient’s plan of care usingidentified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomesand selected nursing interventionsMaintainsconfidentiality at alltimes with patients,medical staff andco-workersProvides a safe, comfortable andtherapeutic patient environmentExperience in acute rehabilitationforvents, wound care, cardiac, stablepost trauma patientsAdherestoand supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospitalin an attempt to providequality patient care Revisesplan of care accordingto evaluation, changesinmedical planof care and nursing interventionsPerformsinterventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, andthehospital policies andpatient care outcome standardIdentifiesand prioritizes actions based uponpatient care requirementsSupportsprofessional practice by observing the following: Usesknowledge and practicesinaccordance with theNurse Practice Act; Joint Commission, state andlocal laws; and Patient’s Bill of Rights hospitalpoliciesPerforms other dutiesas assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:Current nursinglicense for the state in whichthe nurse practicesOne (1) year nursingexperience in a longtermacute care facility preferredAbilitytoeffectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals(including, butnot limitedto,supervisors, co-workers, clients)via strong communication skills;proficiency intheEnglish language may be requiredComputerproficiency requiredBenefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
