Research Assistant Laboratory
Job Summary

Conducts various research and laboratory procedures under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor or designee. Responsibilities of this position include general laboratory activities such as conducting routine bench research and equipment maintenance procedures, maintaining and preparing stock chemicals and/or solutions, and maintaining appropriate laboratory records.

Job Duties Performs day-to-day bench research and quality control procedures under the supervision of the principal investigator or his and her designee.Collects experimental results and maintains laboratory records according to existing institutional policy.Participates in laboratory meetings.Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures on selected instruments.Maintains laboratory supplies and reagents.Dependent on the laboratory, this may include maintaining cell lines and or mouse lines.Maintains the cleanliness of all work areas and orders supplies as needed.Completes safety checks in the lab as directed by supervisor.
