Pay Transparency


Starting Pay Range - Up to $60,000 annually.


Position Overview


The Restaurant General Manager handles running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets Burger King’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The Restaurant General Manager works with his/her district manager to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals. They also manage hiring and developing assistant manager and shift leaders to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future. The ideal candidate should have General Manager experience running a high volume location. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired. This position operates under the direction of the District Manager and directly manages a team of 20-40 staff.


Summary of Responsibilities

 

Has primary accountability for the restaurant P&L and actively manages towards desired financial outcomes by driving sales through initiative-taking guest service, people development, and operations managementMotivates and directs team members to exceed guest expectations with correct, friendly, and fast service in a clean building facilityProblem solves guest feedback systems to decide root-causes and develops action plans to address issuesLeads the restaurant’s recruitment and selection process to build and keep an effective restaurant teamOn-boards new team members by training and guiding them through the certification processInspires the restaurant team by supplying coaching and feedback while effectively managing individual and team recognition programsManages restaurant labor using best Manager staffing and Team Member schedulingReview financial statements, sales, analysis reports, and other performance data to measure productivityActively find areas of operational improvements based on market trendsEnsure communication is passed to every team member in the storeUse company supplied tools to coach, mentor and develop a high performing store teamEnsure all risk management issues are following company standardsCreate or approve Management and Associate schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for expected sale volumes, while taking team member availability, payroll, and overtime costs into consideration


Required Qualifications and Skills

 

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED needed; 2 years of college preferred3-7 Years of restaurant management experienceUnderstanding of Budgets, Reports, P&L management & drivers of restaurant profitability.Ability to prioritize own and others’ work and time to meet deadlines and aimsDemonstrated leadership and critical thinking skillsExceptional customer and guest service principlesAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed, for proper functioning of the restaurant.Must have reliable transportation.Food Safety: Serve Safe certifiedActs with integrity; keeps commitmentsThe ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange correct information in these situationsTolerate cold and hot temperatures and work in and around fryers, ovens, grills, coolers, freezers, sharp objects, and loud noisesReach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift, including reaching for objects overheadPush, pull, lift, and carry up to 10 lbs. often and up to 50+ lb. occasionally, including lifting from ground to overheadProficient in a variety of technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
