Risk Management - Card Acquisition and Fraud Risk Strategy - Associate

As a Fraud Risk Analyst with Card Fraud Strategy Management group, you will be responsible for analysis relating to various Card Service new account origination areas. This includes identifying optimization opportunities, developing value based strategies to mitigate acquisition risks, and creating Management Information System (MIS) reports. This role requires providing high level analytic support for complex projects that requires sophisticated large data mining analytics. You will excel at creative thinking and problem solving; be self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment!

Sample projects include: end-to-end monitoring on daily application volume and fraud trends, real-time anomaly detection. Conduct both loan level case review on fraudulent accounts and portfolio level analytics to diagnose the attack vectors. Develop/test/implement/track the mitigation solutions to prevent the fraudulent applications and losses. Partner with Digital Account Opening, Product, Marketing, Risk Architecture, Credit Risk and Operation teams on large scale and/or complicated solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accountsAttain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycleAcquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance driversConduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

MS degree and 3 years Risk Management requiredBS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience requiredBackground in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field requiredAdvanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree softwareAbility to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management informationFamiliarity with risk analytic techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience delivering recommendations to management
