Senior SIGINT Engineer

ASRC Federal is in search of a dedicated Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Engineer to become a pivotal part of our engineering team, stationed on-site at PD SAI within the C5ISR APG campus at the PM SAI office. The chosen individual will act as the go-to SIGINT Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team, overseeing all SIGINT-centric tasks. This includes the oversight of hardware aspects, signal processing methodologies, antenna development, as well as the testing, modeling, and simulation crucial for advancing airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) SIGINT sensors. Additionally, the role demands a deep-seated knowledge in assessing Communications Intelligence (COMINT) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) solutions, incorporating advanced algorithms and techniques to enhance operational effectiveness. Other responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the development of system-level and operational requirements for upgrades to SIGINT systems, including remote operations. Working with the government’s requirements process and interfacing with the US Military requirements processes. Providing technical assistance and engineering support necessary to fulfill pre-development activities including architecture, tradeoff and upgrade studies, requirements analysis, and rough order of magnitude cost evaluations. Providing technical and engineering support necessary to meet platform requirements, including system design, upgrades, modifications, testing, deployment, and systems sustainment. Planning activities to migrate systems through successive architecture revisions and upgrades. Providing informal, on-the-job-training (OJT) to familiarize civilian and military operations and sustainment personnel with hardware upgrades, capabilities, and modifications. Providing general software engineering to upgrade systems and modify existing system software. Providing support to operations and sustainment personnel with specific software capabilities. Providing technical and engineering expertise to assist in the timely activation of system upgrades and installation of new systems. This includes system design, procurement of components, creation of documentation, system build (rack and stack), and system integration and testing. Supporting products achieving the Army’s Airworthiness Release process. Providing technical and engineering support to assist civilian and military sustainment personnel with identifying and isolating faulty system software and/or hardware components and restoring the system(s) to full operational capability. Participating in weekly classified and unclassified project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues. Participating in various classified and unclassified Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to provide engineering input to vendors and team members. Travel will be required up to 50% of the time, with the possibility of OCONUS travel.
