Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to be the Sentinel Countermeasures Technical Lead.  This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do

     

The successful candidate will:

Work directly with the Countermeasure Chief EngineerInterface with the government customer and provide subject matter expertise for ICBM payload developmentCoordinate customer Mission Modeling Framework working groupsInterface with government labs and support advanced research and developmentInterface with intelligence agenciesParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloadsLead technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadershipProvide Technical roadmaps to support a balanced, realistic, schedule to meet contractual requirementsDevelop new payload capabilitiesReview and provide feedback on models meant to simulate and evaluate hardware performanceReview test plans to ensure methodology will correctly acquire data on attributes being testedProvide oversight of payload testingPerform model validation of various Payloads through test and analysisVerify Payload specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysisCreate technical reports and present analysis resultsDevelop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and support Advanced Program Capture effortsInterface with the Advanced Programs Division as Countermeasures subject matter expert

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 12 years with Masters, or 9 years with a PhDMust be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI, with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years3 years technical experience in three or more of:Missile defense discrimination algorithmsMissile defense radar/signature analysisElectro-optical and infrared signature analysisKill vehicle seeker design and analysisCountermeasure/Penetration Aids design and analysisExperience with National Laboratories and/or Intelligence Agencies

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

2 Years experience with Sentinel Countermeasure developmentExperience with Missile Defense Agency Countermeasure developmentExperience developing Red Engineering modelsExperience with analytic models such as OSC, XPATCH, and Method of Moments codes

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $213,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
