Software Development Manager

The Software Development Manager is responsible for the management of the Agile software development lifecycle for the Service Delivery Platform.  You’ll work with internal lines of business and vendors on building a cutting edge, competitive delivery platform with a deep understanding of customer portals, self-service portals, eCommerce (online ordering) systems, big data, data analytics and software development.  This role is responsible for the development and execution of the product roadmap and ongoing prioritization of backlog items.  The Product Development Manager drives and ensures that the Service Delivery Platform/Portal meet project requirements, timelines, and budget requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure business requirements are gathered and user stories are created for current and future Development Projects.Manages development and contractor relationships on current and new project roll outs.Works with off-shore development team to ensure development requirements are prioritized, developed per user stories and working properly.Primary liaison between Sales, Marketing, Training, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and client needs for the Service Delivery Platform.Understands and guides SDP and current supporting system architectures and integration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experienceFive or more years of software development management experienceThree or more years experience managing within Agile software development lifecycle frameworkKnowledge of portal software, design and development Experience with use of remote collaboration toolsUS Citizenship is required by law for this position due to federal customer contracts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two or more years of experience working in a Data Center environment

Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, etc.) when dealing with internal and/or external audiences at all levels of managementUse organizational skills to determine prioritization and appropriate multitasking.Focus on scope, tone, and quality of processes and their respective documentation, as well as the associated goals, priorities, deadlines, and weaknesses.Ability to work independently, with supervision, on a project of varying complexity.
