Software Engineer II

Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Software Engineer II at our facility in Bellevue, Washington to serve within Chewy’s Marketing Engineering Team which is responsible for building and managing the tech stack supporting our Content Platform.

What You’ll Do: 

Provide hands on contribution to SDLC process from design, development, testing, implementation, and support of applications.Engage in iterative development, testing, contributing to the overall growth and development of one of Chewy’s fastest growing areas.Partner with both technical and business teams on multiple initiatives and collaborate to deliver new features and enhancements.Design and build new features and services that powers chewy.com and customer experience.Drive and advise on technical decisions and collaborate with talented peers.Review code, implementations, and give meaningful feedback that helps others build better solutions.Establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels and across functional teams.Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience.Experience must involve the following: Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithm - design, problem solving, and complexity analysis, object-oriented design, data structures, and System Design, in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS);Software development in React and GraphQL;Configuration and deployment management via Terraform or helm charts;Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting;E-commerce or retail; andGraphQL, TDD, DataDog, and Jenkins.Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Software Engineer II position is $128,502 - $183,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
