Solution Architect (Federal)

C3 AI is seeking an experienced professional to join our Solution Architecture team. In this customer-facing position, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deploy Enterprise AI applications using the C3 AI Application Platform. The Platform is entirely data-driven, so a great candidate is passionate about acquiring, analyzing, and transforming data to generate insights with advanced analytics. This role is very hands-on and requires a perfect combination of a “big picture,” solution-oriented mindset, and solid implementation skills. 

This role requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence. Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher) is preferred. 

Responsibilities: 

Develop and maintain expertise on the latest cloud, IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies to provide thought leadership to our prospects, customers, and within the company. Engage directly with customers in a post-sales capacity to deliver full-stack AI solutions according to functional and performance requirements. Design and implement reference architectures to deliver scalable and reusable solutions.  Develop new specs and documentation and participate in developing technical procedures and user support guides.  Collaborate with engineering and product teams to incorporate customer feature and enhancement requests into core product offerings.

Qualifications: 

3+ years of experience with system/data integration, development, or implementation of enterprise and/or cloud software  Engineering degree in Computer Science or related fields  Understanding of enterprise architecture and enterprise application integration (File, API, Queues, Streams)  Hands-on expertise in Big Data, Distributed Systems, and Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)  Demonstrated proficiency with Python, JavaScript, and/or Java  Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (any vendor)  Solid understanding of data modeling best practices  Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail  Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem-solving techniques  Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team  Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Federal government, especially DoD TS/SCI Clearance (preferably DoD) Expertise in Postgres and/or Cassandra  Experience with Spark and cloud databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, DeltaLake)  Experience with stream processing frameworks (Kafka, Kinesis, EventHub, Google Pub/Sub)  Experience with container-based deployments using Kubernetes. Experience designing and maintaining DataOps and MLOps in Production environments.  Working knowledge of Machine Learning and AI  Experience with Information, Network, & Infrastructure Security concepts.
