Our work depends on Solutions Architect joining our team to provide technical leadership and support in the area of solution specification/design for our Diplomacy, Environment, Law Enforcement, and Financial Agencies Sector. You will need to possess strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions; and have significant experience designing and developing technical solutions in multiple disciplines, like data center, application development, cloud and cyber security.  You will also need to have a proven track record of proposal delivery, excellent communications skills, and a strong customer service orientation.

HOW A SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Perform solution scans and designing and estimating the cost of technical solutions in cloud environments that satisfy the requirements of growth opportunitiesEvaluation of cloud applications and analysis of alternatives for business value applicabilityPlanning and designing cloud platform solutionsAct as technical liaison between customer technical points of contact and GDIT project staff to facilitate IT strategic planningCoordinate “reach back” with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issuesRespond to technical questions and research requests from customers and programs. Perform business case analysis to support decision making processMaintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 14 years of experience in Information Technology and Cloud Infrastructures required.Required Experience: 10 years of experience in Information Technology and Cloud InfrastructuresRequired Skills and Abilities: Experience with architecting and operating cloud solutions. Experience with on-premises to cloud migration, cloud computing and multi-cloud/hybrid cloud platforms. Strong knowledge of government procurement and proposal processes Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions. Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills. Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team. Preferred certification for one or more of the following cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect.Security Clearance Level: NoneLocation: This is a hybrid position working between facility in DC and remote
