GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Sonographer (Ultrasound) Technician to work full-time in anticipation for a future position at Cannon AFB (New Mexico). 

Job Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Certificate. Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)

Certifications: Basic Life Support. Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 2 years in a setting corresponding to the requirements of the task order. 

 

Job Duties: 

Receive patients, explain procedures, and provide appropriate care. Correctly position the patient for the examination and make adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required. Operate ultrasound scanners. Operate the linear, sector, and endovaginally probes as well as pulse and color Doppler capabilities of provided scanners. Receive and interpret requests or instructions for diagnostic ultrasound scans; perform assigned quality control checks of the ultrasound scanners.
