Sr Manager Facilities Maintenance (Utilities)

Summary: Primarily responsible for the direction, organization, and management of all facilities maintenance operations within Utilities; responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Facilities Maintenance with the administration of the department, including strategic and budgetary planning, along with the development of new initiatives and the implementation of operational improvements.

As a Sr Manager Facilities Maintenance, a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

Leadership and development of the Utilities Team to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all site utilities, while complying with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

Act as lead for the Utilities Department in all regulatory inspections, e.g. FDA, HPRA, EPA, HSA, etc.

Review and report on current utility performance and implement continuous improvement projects and initiatives where opportunities are identified.

Develop and implement management systems to ensure that the planning and scheduling of maintenance, repairs and modifications to all Utilities equipment is undertaken as required

Develop and implement management systems for the development of preventive maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes of practice and guidance from all applicable regulators and insurers

Manage energy and water consumption within Utilities and develop strategies for efficiency improvements.

Develop budgets for the maintenance and operation of all equipment and implement management systems to ensure departmental budgets are adhered to.

Serves as the senior staff designee in the absence of the Associate Director of Facilities Maintenance.

Education and Experience:

Requires a 3rd Level Qualification in engineering or construction technologies with 10+ years of experience, and 6+ years of management experience. May substitute relevant experience in lieu of educational requirement.
