Foot Locker is seeking a Technical Product Manager, Internal Developer Platform, for our Dallas location, who is responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of services provided in an internal developer platform (IDP). This individual relies on their deep understanding of the modern application developer experience and technology platforms to deliver solutions that developers love and accelerate time-to-value. They collaborate with business product engineering teams and subject-matter experts to identify reusable, shared solutions and deliver value to developers and their customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about the Developer Experience and enjoys legacy system modernizations leveraging a platform approach. This is a critical role in Foot Locker’s technology evolution and will require you to build strong relationships and influence multiple stakeholders throughout the company to meet aggressive modernization goals.  Your primary responsibility as a Technical Product Manager, Internal Developer Portal, is to develop a platform vision and roadmap that continuously creates value for Foot Locker product engineers. You will shape the vision and roadmap by empathizing with developers and practicing continuous discovery with product engineering teams across multiple business units. Your vision and roadmap will account for organizational outcomes, timelines, sequencing, capacity constraints, and dependencies. You will identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with other teams and groups in the organization to improve overall developer experience and effectiveness.

Responsibilities Deeply understanding and empathizing with product developers to understand the experience of Foot Locker developers and their customersTranslating needs into a compelling vision and prioritized roadmap that are easily disseminated into requirements for a platform solution that is loved by our developersPartnering closely with senior management and engineering teams to define and align with stakeholders on vision, strategy, and roadmapsEstablishing approaches and data-driven mechanisms to ensure platform product teams continuously create solutions developers love and deliver value for the businessProviding thought leadership, communicating the vision, evangelizing, and enabling adoption of the platform Defining how we will measure the success and effectiveness of our products and drive the execution and continuous evaluation of those metricsStaying apprised of innovation and market trends in developer platform technology and approaches Qualifications A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, with a focus on technology products delivered with a platformProven ability to think strategically, define product strategies, and translate them into actionable plans that drive business outcomes. Strong technically, understands modern engineering practices and how software is built, packaged, deployed, and operatedPassion for developer experience and productivity engineeringHighly independent and pragmatic with excellent communication skills at all levels, including Executive level communicationMakes thoughtful decisions and solves problems supported by data and researchFamiliarity with retail industry trends and best practices is essential

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $133000 - $160000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
