We are currently seeking a *Staff Nurse* to join our Operating Room. This position is a 1.0 FTE (10 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day/ Night, Every 4th Weekend/ call and holidays per department rotation. A sign-on bonus ($8,000.00) is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). ** _*RESPONSIBILITIES:*_ Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: * Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health * Preventing illness and injury * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care _QUALIFICATIONS_ Minimum Qualifications: * 1 year of current OR RN experience * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * Completion of an accredited nursing program Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
