Therma-Tru in Butler, Indiana a global producer of entry door systems is seeking a Quality Engineering Co-op. Our Co-op program gives students opportunities to build on their academic skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.  Our Quality Co-Op will support various activities in supplier quality, product quality, productivity improvement, and manufacturing operations. 

Key Responsibilities:    

Measurement system analysis (including but not limited to Gage R&R)Supplier ISIR (initial sample inspection report) and PPAP (production part approval process)Gage improvement projectsSupplier engagement for gage improvement and product capability improvementProblem investigation for root cause (include use of drawings, material specs, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work in a cross-functional environment

 

Successful candidates will have:

Pursuing a degree in business, engineering or related field.Strong problem solving skillsUnderstand of Gage R&R and SPCExcellent computer skills.Desire to work in corporate environmentDesire to work in a manufacturing environmentExcellent communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
