Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, Position Description Number PDD2652000 and is part of the WY Training Center Command, Wyoming Army National Guard. Responsibilities The purpose of the position is to ensure petroleum products, medical supplies, and other supplies of a general nature are available, stored, and issued in the most economical and efficient manner to support the requirements of the Training Center staff, tenants, units in training, and customers. The incumbent supervises a staff primarily composed of warehouse workers, fuel distribution system workers, and supply technicians. The position assists the supervisor in the development of contingency plans for the operations of mobilization and/or national disasters. (1) Assists in the development of plans and directs work within the DOL to include such functions as inventory and storage management, quality assurance, maintenance, procurement and property utilization and disposal. (2) Performs a number of supervisory functions within the DOL such as: Implements provisions of personnel management such as equal employment, merit promotion, performance appraisals, counseling, incentive awards, etc. (3) Renders technical assistance and guidance to the DOL, Base Operations Manager, and higher levels of outside command for logistical services, and assists all other directorates with requisitioning supplies and equipment. (4) Reviews, proposes, directs the development of and/or develops local supply management directives including those pertaining to warehousing and stock control. (5) Meets with National Guard Bureau personnel, other governmental agencies, state National Guard Commands and activities on logistical warehousing and storage matters, plans, policies and directives. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ** Requirements Conditions of Employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Primary consideration will be given to current WY ARNG military members. If required, additional areas of consideration certificates may be released to hiring managers. Open to US Army, Army Reserves, and Army Nat'l Guard military members only Must be assessed into WY ARNG before appt. May take up to 120 days. Warrant Officers not assigned to WYARNG must submit NGB Fm 62E. Must submit ERB/ORB or DA Fm 2-1 with application. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves, or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves technical or managerial work concerned with receiving, handling, storing, maintaining while in storage, issuing, or physically controlling items within a distribution system. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Must possess experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training planning layouts of storage. Experience compiling, analyzing and using data concerning storage space allocation, equipment uses, maintenance and personnel use. Experience conducting and completing projects and studies related to distribution and storage operations. Experience conducting surveys and providing technical assistance in determining the use of storage areas and the allocation of storage space. NOTE: Minimum Requirement and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify for the position.
