Systems Engineer Senior

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems for new or existing computer systems. Our work depends on Systems Engineer Senior joining our team to configure, maintain, and monitor our data analytic system.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guides the successful completion of major engineering programs may function in a project leadership roleDevelops advanced solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problemsPerform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the endProvides and applies engineering to highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsPerforms continual maintenance and provides advanced solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problemsPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsMaintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processesPerforms complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineeringInvents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiencyDrives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructureImplements, manages, and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline toolsProvides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidanceMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsMay serve as a team or task lead

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires an engineering Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ (8 preferred) years of related IT and engineering experience

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

Experience with Splunk, ScienceLogic, and Delinia Secret Server is a plusExperience with Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise LinuxKnowledgeable PureStorage systems and storage and backup conceptsKnowledgeable VMWare products such as vSphere, vCenter, Horizon VDIKnowledgeable Cisco enterprise hardware such as blade servers, next generation firewalls, and other networking components
