Responsibilities

The Network Architect supports the Technical Director (TD), assisting with implementation of cloud technologies to advance the mission as well as for protection and hosting. The Network Architect assists with establishing Office’s technical architecture and office-level technical roadmaps. Skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Applies knowledge of the technologies identified in “Required Qualifications”Provides meaningful contributions in technical forums and established boardsUnderstands the enterprise, transport, and security systems that are deployed in the Sponsor’s network(s)Shares expertise and integrates across organizational teamsAnalyzes and solves complex problemsImplements exceptional organizational and communication skills Qualifications Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraphA degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Business, or a scientific, or technical disciplineBS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10Knowledge of the TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnets and masking, and routing protocolsAbility to analyze, evaluate, design, and recommend network and cabling infrastructure architectureKnowledge of network operating systemsKnowledge of network architectures and implementation of networked computer systems emphasizing multiple platform environmentsAbility to strategically plan new configurations for operation into the network, using knowledge of the characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance
