We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls and Automation Engineer to join the team with JETS II Teammate Company, Nexus Solutions.\n

The Controls and Automation Engineer will:\n\nDevelop the next generation Data Acquisition, Recording and Controls system for the Crew and Thermal Systems Division\nTroubleshoot and maintain existing Thermal\/ Vacuum Chamber measurement and instrumentation systems\nCreate and upgrade HMI screens and program\/modify PLCs\nIntegrate Data Acquisition systems into SCADA platform\nPerform system checkouts, procurements, instrument calibration, testing\/maintenance activities and documentation\nPerform other duties as required\n\nQualifications\n

Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\n\nTypically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area. \nComputer programming experience\nExperience with SQL database\nUnderstanding of electrical drawings and procedures for instrumentation systems\nExperience with data acquisition systems and their application\nExperience with instrument specification and calibration procedures\nProficiency using computers\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nStrong organizational skills\n\n

Requisition Preferences:\n\nBachelor's degree in electrical, electronics or control engineering from an accredited engineering school with five (5) years of related engineering experience \nFamiliarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures\nExpertise in SCADA systems (eg ICONICS, Ignition), SQL Server \nExperience with Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software\u200b \n
