Your New Role...

Support of all tasks related to the acquisition of fictional content for our TV channels (Warner TV Film, Warner TV Comedy, Warner TV Series, TELE 5)Support of all tasks related to the dubbing (lipsynch & voice over) of the factual content broadcasted on DMAX, TLC, HGTV, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and Discovery + and of the fictional content for our fiction channelsAfter a period of training the Trainee is expected to perform basic tasks in evaluating content for the fiction channels and editing scripts (German translations)We will balance the Trainee’s tasks between “basic support”, “helping hand in everyday firefighting” and “dedicated learning sessions” depending on individual interests and needsThe goal of the training program is to develop both a technical understanding of processes and workflows and to build up at the same time editorial knowledge that will enable the Trainee to contribute to overall performance enhancementsWhile the main focus is on tasks within the Acquisitions & Dubbing team, we offer on the job learning opportunities within pre-agreed time frames in other functions within the wider programming team to give holistic, 360 degrees insights:Planning (highlight- and event-scheduling; scheduling tools)Production (introduction to general production processes such as development, production management)Rights Management (database management, license and process control)

Qualifications & Experience...

Strong communication skills, both in German and EnglishIdeally a university graduate in a communication, linguistic or media related fieldPassion for language and for content both on TV and streaming servicesEditorial judgment skills and understanding of the WBD legacy brands Tech-savvy and digitally skilled, conditioned to making best use of data and software toolsCurious, open minded and outspoken personality keen for practical learning opportunitiesMS-Office skills

Mitarbeit an den laufenden Tätigkeiten in den Bereichen Programmeinkauf Fiction und bei allen anfallenden Aufgaben der Synchronisation unseres Contents (lipsynch und voice over), den wir auf unseren linearen Sendern (Warner TV Channels, DMAX, TLC, HGTV) und unserer Streaming Plattform Discovery+ ausstrahlenEinblicke in die Abläufe des Lizenzhandels (Budgetierung; Vertragsverhandlung)Lernen und Umsetzen der Programmbewertung (redaktionell und wirtschaftlich)Eigenständige Projekte im Programmbereich nach einer EinarbeitungsphaseWeitere Stationen Ihrer Ausbildung sind die Abteilungen:Programmplanung“ (Event- und Episodenplanung, Scheduling, VoD-Schedules),Produktion (Einführung in allgemeine Produktions- und Redaktionsabläufe, redaktionelle Abnahmen, Bewertung von Ideen und Castings, Entwicklung von Formatideen)Rechtemanagement (Lizenzanlagen, Verwaltung von Urheber- und Verwertungsrechten, Budgetverwaltung)

Voraussetzungen...

Idealerweise verfügen Sie über ein abgeschlossenes Studium und über erste praktische Berufserfahrungen im Medienumfeld und haben Spaß und Interesse am Medium TV und an der deutschen und englischen Sprache.
