Responsibilities

Facilitate discovery and innovation workshops for a range of government audiences, from senior leaders to front-line implementers, utilizing human-centered methods, tools, and best practicesCollaborate with clients and stakeholders to co-design workshop agendas and exercises that help achieve strategic and tactical objectivesSynthesize research, insights, and data to help drive solutions for organizational challengesCraft compelling stories and visual models to communicate insights and discoveries that will shape service innovationsUnderstand the relevance of and how to articulate: journey maps, service blueprints, personas, ecosystem and experience mapsUnderstand how user research should be integrated into developing technologyEnsure all deliverables across a variety of projects are produced at the highest qualityWorks with technical team members on the implementation of UX research techniques and usability testing activities. Qualifications

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in human centered design, service design, and/or customer experience design6+ years of experience delivering interface design solutions for various clients, including highly detailed annotated wire-frames and user flows within complex web or mobile applicationsExperience developing rapid prototypes and producing wire-frames for user interfacesThorough knowledge and demonstrated experience applying design thinking methods and tools to solve end to end challengesExperience in workshop facilitation and co-creation, including with groups of senior organizational leadersExperience working in multi-disciplinary groups including UX and UI designers, technologists, and engineersA natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skillsA collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skillsExperience working in a project-based environmentStrong client communication skillsDegree or equivalent experience in HCD, HCI, service design, and/or experience designAbility to obtain a U.S. government public trust About steampunk
