Vice President of Sales, Clinical Research

NOTE: This is primarily a remote position, with occasional leadership team meetings in King of Prussia, PA, and must be willing to travel on occasion to client locations within the USA.  We are seeking a resource that lives in the EST or CST Zone. Compensation = Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Equity Incentives Responsibilities: + Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for delivering long-term sustainable sales and profit growth through strategic leadership by overseeing the establishment and implementation of all commercial strategies.  + Play a major role in identifying and implementing new, innovative products and services offerings, and articulate how clients and customers can benefit from these value-add offerings. Maximize the business value from our existing Customer base. + Function as a “hands-on” strategic sales leader, leading and expanding our existing sales team by driving new business, developing new client relationships and fostering existing relationships within the Research and Clinical Trials domain, and expanding our products and services footprint by identifying and recommending solutions that translates into new business. + Perform all necessary sales management activities (providing mentorship, creating effective account planning strategies, account revenue projections, performance reviews, sales compensation reviews, etc.) with sales team members. + Build and manage an opportunity pipeline sufficient to meet the Company’s new product development targets and to provide accurate sales forecasting to support the Company’s business planning needs and ensure consistent utilization of our CRM tool. + Drive sales pursuits, working in unison with sales team members and senior delivery team in creating and delivering client presentations, proposals (establishing pricing) and Statements of Work (SOWs); participating in negotiations; and being influential in helping close business deals. + Achieve a sales funnel with the ability to forecast and measure performance from lead generation through to close. + Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales, product line gross margins and sales and marketing overheads. + Meet/exceed revenue and profit targets by effectively positioning Vitalief as a highly valued, trusted delivery partner with client executives and management. + Work cross functionally internally and externally, communicating with all stakeholders, managing client expectations and ensuring clients' success. + Provide the Board with strategic marketing direction to maximize the business potential from the Company’s competitive strengths and opportunities. + Represent Vitalief at relevant industry and networking events. Required Skills: + 15 or more years of commercial experience, including strong sales leadership, new product planning, marketing and market analysis experience with a primary focus in clinical research. + Bachelor's degree is required.  Graduate degree (MBA) and / or equivalent experience and education in strategic leadership and business preferred. + Outstanding track record of building effective organizations, developing employees, and building the relationships essential to influencing decision-making at all levels in clinical research organizations. + Proven track record of successfully building and leading sales teams within a consulting firm(s). + Ability to build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline as a sales leader, functioning in a “lead by example” capacity. + Demonstrated success in building commercial organizations and successfully launching new products and services. + Extensive experience with developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics, field leadership, market research and analysis and business forecasting. + Highly effective at navigating client environments and leveraging team members to identify opportunities and provide optimal client solutions; and become that trusted partner that can help solve our client’s problems. + Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an extensive professional network, recognize opportunities to enhance and expand executive level relationships, and identify business development opportunities that align with the company’s core set of capabilities. + Strong executive presence, focus and drive to succeed — confidence, passion and high energy. + Ability to travel domestically.
