Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Virtualization Engineer ​to join our team! In this role you will get to work alongside other cloud professionals as a part of the FedNet® team reporting to Virtualization and Automation Manager. 

What You'll Be Doing:

Develop infrastructure as code to build and maintain enterprise cloud environments.

Update and maintain git repositories.

Review and maintain CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 compliance.

Focuses on solving technical problems in a fast-paced environment.

Contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.

Provides technical guidance and end user training.

Initiates professionalism, excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Works independently as well as in a cooperative team environment.

Demonstrates fast and independent learning capabilities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience

Strong experience implementing CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 standards

2+ years of experience and knowledge of DevOps practices

Ability to automate Infrastructure as Code using a variety of technology types (Ansible, Python, PowerShell)

Cross-functional IT expertise (storage, network, and database infrastructure)

Strong experience with both Windows and Linux servers

Experience with knowledge of storage hardware, networking, and software in VMware environments to include NSX

Experience with enterprise hybrid cloud architecture (VMware)

Excellent documentation, intercommunication, and interpersonal skills

Advanced organizational and time management skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Good understanding and implementation of ITIL concepts

Good understanding and implementation of CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 standards

VMware enterprise tools (vSphere, NSX, vRNI)

Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.)

Scripting experience (Bash, Ansible, Python, Groovy, PowerShell etc.)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC)

Knowledge of configuration file types (YAML, JSON)

Familiar with DevOps practices

Have a strong sense of networking

Salary Range: 

$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
