We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Wellness Assistant to assist the Wellness Manager in facilitating Wellness programs for Rogue Valley Manor's residents. About the role: ➢ Conducts and coordinates wellness programs with residents. ➢ Assures maximum participation at all programs by conducting exercise classes that will motivate residents.. ➢ Manage the logs and processes of the Wellness facilities. This includes check-in/out, machine repair logs, communication logs, etc. ➢ Aids in creating individual fitness programs for residents and staff. ➢ Maintain the orderliness of the Wellness facilities and all associated spaces (storage rooms, programming space, etc.) ➢ Prepare the Wellness facilities for opening and closing through check-in/out materials preparation, posting of signage, development of efficient processes, and other assignments as needed. ➢ Provides one-on-one personal training orientations and continued appointments for residents. ➢ Works with Wellness Manager in creation and production of promotional literature, events and activities. ➢ Attendance at regularly scheduled staff and one-on-one meetings is required. ➢ Adequately advertise for programming (whether it is one’s own program or in support of another program) through postings, electronic media, or other appropriate means. ➢ Attends conferences and meetings pertaining to the Wellness Department mission. ➢ Aids in creating and administering activity goals. ➢ Comfortable with speaking in front of groups, plus on camera. About you: Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist residents in their programs. Knowledge of fitness room equipment and exercise machines. CPR, First Aid and Professional Training certification are preffered. If not certified, able to obtain these certifications within 6 months of employment. Valid Oregon drivers license.
