Position Purpose

Lead the strategic development of the brand through brand planning, life cycle management, and the execution of key tactics to maximize the revenue and the profit of assigned products or therapeutic area. Lead and manage financial and human resources to improve the efficiency of the assigned team. This position has direct P&L accountability.

Litfulo, launched in September 2023, is a treatment for severe Alopecia Areata with a new MOA of JAK3 and TEC family kinases inhibitor. Litfulo is a priority product for Pfizer Japan and is important to the growth of Pfizer.

Description of Primary Role & Responsibility

Lead following activities for achieving financial budget (revenue and IBT in Operating Plan) for the portfolio.

Development of precise financial forecasting for the portfolio including budget, long-range sales forecast(LRF) and the latest estimate.Development of Operating Plan for the portfolio.Monthly performance update of the portfolio to the regional president with right KPI tracking and clear commentary.Take appropriate measures once some gaps would happen between forecast and actual, and improve the accuracy of forecasting.Development and the execution of actions to generate incremental revenue.Development and the execution of actions to minimize the cost in order to improve IBT.Efficient management and allocation of marketing resources to make sure cost effective results.

Lead the development and execution of Brand Plan or strategic initiative for maximizing brand opportunities and values.

Market research (quantitative/qualitative), analysis to understand customer insights and make a decision.Identify hidden opportunities in diversified portfolio.Lead the process for developing robust brand plan including discovering customer insight, customer segmentation/targeting, situational analysis, developing innovative strategy/value proposition and communication approaches to overcome key issue/opportunity based on situational analysis.Lead the communication process to Sales division through POA or other communication channels.Make sure the planned activities are well implemented by putting relevant KPI measurement to track.Development of constructive relationship with external partners and agencies.Lead the creation of opportunities for investment on life cycle management.Investigation of market trend carefully to catch up issues/opportunities and consider product life cycle management for growth.Identify potential growth opportunities and develop innovative promotion approaches in consideration of market environment changes.Provide strategic analysis and business case evaluations from a commercial perspective with internal decision making or endorsement.

Manage portfolio sustainability and ensure stable supply.

Project management and coordination of multi-functional group of colleagues to address any supply issues.Smooth and appropriate communications with management level for updating any issues at a timely manner for solving or avoiding any critical supply disruptions.Make a strong cross functional collaboration with all relevant partner lines (Sales, Finance, Medical, R&D, Supply, PR, etc).Monitor and resolve any supply issues in close relationship with PGS(Pfizer Global Supply).Lead financial modeling and commercial assessment of risk/opportunity for the endorsement (ie. Site transfer, issue in sourcing, supply challenge package change, discontinuation and divestiture.)

Lead collaboration management

Manage collaboration-based product’s profitability.Maintain and enhance better partnership with collaborative companies.Improve profitability by optimizing contract with collaborative companies.Support Business Development opportunities including evaluation of brands buy-in/sell-out.

Reinforce ownership culture within the team to build a high performing team.

Take measures to enhance ownership mindset within team.Identify key issues based on company-conducted engagement survey and develop right action plan to improve the culture and engagement.

Develop the talents for next leadership.

Identify development area of each team member and make right direction or coaching to members.Generate optimal opportunities for team members based on their developmentneeds.

Make sure 100% Compliance with all law, regulation, SOP, internal or external rule/policy.

Having an excellent legal mindset, encourage team members to increase the sensitivity to risk management.Ensure team members to complete all necessary trainings for compliance.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and external environment.

Excellent presentation skill, communication skill, coaching skill.

3. Experience

Extensive experience developing and implementing pharmaceutical business strategy.

Required at least 5 years of experience at sales and marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Experience launching new products is more preferable.

Preferably people management experience

Additional experience in non-traditional pharmaceutical marketing preferred such as IT integration business and AI technology.  Experiences outside pharmaceutical industry are welcomed.

Proven track record of leading projects, driving changes and organizing teams that successfully achieve milestones and deliverables.

Experience working in multiple cultures and demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures.

4. Education / Certification

Bachelor’s degree or advanced. MBA is more preferable.

5. Language

Written and oral communication/presentation skill in English and Japanese.

Business-level English proficiency is required to engage in discussions with members of the global headquarters. TOEIC score of 800 or higher is preferred.
