Position Description
The Department of Experiential Engineering Education (ExEEd) in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University invites applications for temporary ¾ time teaching faculty position(s) for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly collaborative team that is responsible for teaching our introductory First-year and Sophomore Engineering Clinic courses. The Engineering Clinic Sequence is the hallmark of Rowan’s innovative undergraduate engineering program and features multidisciplinary, hands-on, project-oriented courses.
Main Responsibilities
Engage in high-quality, evidence-based instruction in introductory undergraduate engineering courses (e.g., First-year and Sophomore Engineering Clinics) Foster a collegial and inclusive learning and working environmentRequired Qualifications
A minimum of a Master’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. A strong interest in teaching hands-on, project-based engineering courses, particularly in the early years of the curriculum A commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds including women, students of color, LGBTQ students, first‐generation to college students, students with disabilities, students with low socioeconomic status, and veterans.About the Department of Experiential Engineering Education
ExEEd was launched to catalyze the translation of educational innovations into the classroom, cultivate a collaborative environment for engineering education research, and to lead the College’s undergraduate engineering educational mission for first- and second-year students in all engineering disciplines. Our department also manages the B.S. Engineering Entrepreneurship program and offers a PhD in Engineering Education.

Start Date: September 1, 2024
A ¾ time appointment typically carries a 9-credit / semester teaching load (or 18 credits in one academic year), and pays ¾ of the applicable salary of a full-time instructor, with no other benefits.
