Job Description 

National Sales Director, Kite Cell Therapy Business Unit, is responsible for sales and site qualification process nationwide, supervising the Cell Therapy Account Manager Leads (CTAM Leads) who work within targeted CAR T treatment and referring centers to ensure successful introduction, differentiation and use of Kite’s cell therapy products. This position reports directly to the Executive Business Unit Director for Kite Japan based in Tokyo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Successfully execute the commercial strategy for product in Japan Nationwide Identify, evaluate and assist in authorizing potential product treatment sites. Provide information of product and appropriate use of product to both authorized treatment centres (ATCs) and referring treatment centres (RTCs). Collaborate with cross-functional internal commercial partners such as marketing, commercial operations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and maximize teamwork. Develop, implement and monitor strategy in conjunction with Business Unit Director, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Case Management, and Site Qualification Team to meet and exceed goals. Develop mechanisms and processes to regularly monitor account activity against goals and provide on-going feedback within organization. Motivate, train and coach on complex clinical and operational acumen (cell therapy/oncology/process) Performance management; leading/managing individual contributors. Cascade and compliantly train to brand plan and organizational goals. Retain top talent and develop individualized career development plans for team. Work regularly with Cellular Therapy Account Manager Leads (CTAM Leads) & CTAMs in the field. Lead all facets of entire Japan CTAM Team in a compliant manner to ensure optimal results. 

Relevant Experience/Core Competencies and Skill Requirements: 

7 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry 3 or more years of regional sales director experience Exemplary leadership skills Exceptional oncology clinical and operational acumen Extensive Academic experience in oncology Academic and large account management experience in oncology Exceptional performance management skills Experience in building positive team culture grounded in organizational values Strong analytical skills. Proven track record of achieving goals/objectives Track record of retaining top talent and career development of high potential team members Expertise level/knowledge of compliance and good business conduct principles. Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements. Ability to manage extensive travel  Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build consensus across multiple cross-functional teams Proven ability to successfully communicate and execute organizational goals and brand strategies Develop significant relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs), senior account level leadership including the C-Suite, as well as other decision makers and influencers. 

Additional Background and Experience: 
PC literacy required; MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
 
Education: 
BS/BA required 
MBA preferred
